Alford was a two-sport star at Bradley, playing both varsity baseball and basketball for the Braves ... Enjoyed the unique experience of helping Bradley reach the championship games of the 1950 National Invitation Tournament and NCAA Tournaments on the hardwood, as well as the 1950 College World Series on the diamond.
