CAREER BESTS & RESULTS
2018-19 SEASON
Cross Country: Did not run during the cross country season.
Indoor: Placed seventh as a member of the 4x400 relay at the MVC Championship • Tallied a season-best time of 2:18.31 in the 800m at the conference meet.
Outdoor: Member of the 4x400 relay that finished fifth at the MVC Championship with the second-best time in school history (3:54.26) • Also ran the 400m during the season with a PR time of 1:00.80 at the Kip Janvrin Open.
2017-18 SEASON
Cross Country: Ran in two meets, posting a time of 19:19.6 in the 5K at the Bradley Intercollegiate and a mark of 24:12.1 in the Bradley Pink Classic in the 6K.
Indoor: Ran the 800m during the indoor season, posting a PR time of 2:15.52 at the MVC Championship Prelims • Part of the second-fastest 4x400 relay in school history (3:58.96) at the GVSU Big Meet.
Outdoor: Returned from an injury to run the 800m twice during the outdoor season • Finished first in her season debut at Valparaiso • Set a PR with a time of 2:16.54 at the MVC Championship • Also a member of the second-fastest 4x400 relay in school history with a 3:56.97 at the conference meet.
2016-17 SEASON
Volleyball: Member of the volleyball program during the fall season • Came off the bench as a defensive specialist to play in 13 matches • Appeared in 18 sets • Eleven of her 18 sets played came in MVC action • Served up an ace against UTEP • Notched two digs off the bench against Western Michigan.
Indoor: Ran three events in her first track season • Posted her season-best times of 1:03.44 in the 400m at Eastern Illinois, 1:47.43 in the 600m at Illinois and 2:24.91 in the 800m at Olivet Nazarene.
Outdoor: Competed in the 800m run mainly during the outdoor season, running in the event at the MVC Championship • Registered her season-best time of 2:17.88 at the Illinois Twilight • Also ran the 400m dash at Southern Illinois with a mark of 1:01.05.
2015-16 SEASON
Did not compete during the 2015-16 season.
HIGH SCHOOL
Four-year state qualifier in track, competing in the 800m, 1,600-meter relay and 3,200-meter relay • Capped her prep career by finishing eighth at the Class A state championships in the 800m as a senior • Holds the third-fastest 800m time in school history and was part of sixth fastest 3,200m-relay team in Grand Island history • Also a member of the volleyball program • Honorable Mention all-state selection by both the Omaha World Herald and Lincoln Journal Star as a senior r• Earned Grand Island Independent All-Area Honorable Mention and All-Conference honors her final year • Collected 206 kills and led the team with 302 digs her senior season.
PERSONAL
The daughter of Bob and Sandy Peterson, Savana was born in Grand Island, Neb. • Twin sister, Sierra, was on the volleyball team at South Dakota State • Also has a younger sibling, Paxton • Majoring in marketing.
