Bradenton, Fla. ? Freshman pitcher Rob Scahill (Lombard, Ill./Willowbrook) picked up his first collegiate win and Bryan Porter (Rolling Meadows, Ill./Rolling Meadows) recorded his first career save as the Braves' bats came alive in an 11-2 win over Fairleigh Dickinson at the IMG Sports Academy on Wednesday in Bradenton, Fla.

Scahill (1-2) allowed three hits and faced just four batters over the minimum in his six innings of work in his third start of the year.  The Bradley freshman earned his first career win by yielding just two unearned runs in the sixth after being staked to five-run lead.

The Braves pounded the Knights pitching staff to the tune of 15 hits including multi-hit games from Ryan Curry (Downers Grove, Ill./South), Peter Malinowski (Ballwin, Mo./Parkway South), Colby Luttrell (Kincaid, Ill./South Fork) and a career-best three hit effort from freshman Dan Brewer (Brookfield, Ill./Lyons Township) that included a double and his first Bradley triple.

The Braves tallied double-digit hits for the second straight game on the Spring Break trip.  In all, 10 Braves recorded hits on the day, including eight of nine starters.

The Knights would never challenge as the Braves piled on six more runs in the final three innings while Bryan Porter breezed through the FDU lineup for the save.  The freshman right-hander has yet to allow an earned run over his four appearances in his young Bradley career.

With their fourth straight win, Bradley improves to 6-6 on the season and remains perfect at the IMG Sports Academy.  Wednesday, the Braves will face intrastate rival Eastern Illinois in a 9:30 a.m. contest.
