PEORIA, Ill. -- Members of the Bradley University baseball team had a very successful summer season on the diamond, as various Braves captured league awards and won league championships in the nation's various wooden bat summer leagues. Here is a look at how BU fared this summer.

#1 Zach Norris: The junior infielder helped Pitcher Perfect to the 2006 Peoria Sunday Morning League championship. Norris hit .286 with 14 hits in 49 at bats and tied for eighth in the league in doubles with three.
#4 Pat Ryerson: The senior outfielder helped Pitcher Perfect to the 2006 Peoria Sunday Morning League championship. Ryerson tied for sixth in the league with three doubles. He ended up appearing at the plate 53 times this summer.
#5 Brad Jones: The senior infielder helped the Kutztown Rockies to the 2006 Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League championship. He played in 24 games this summer, going 3-for-4 in the championship game. Jones ended the summer batting .244 with 19 hits in 78 at bats.
#8 Dan Brewer: The sophomore infielder played in 45 games for the DuPage County Dragons of the Central Illinois Collegiate League. Brewer was named Co-Player of the Second Half by the CICL. He led the league in total bases with 44, led in hits with 28, led in runs scored with 18, was 5th in slugging at .524, tied for 5th in RBI with 13, tied for 3rd in doubles with 6, tied for 1st in triples with 2, tied for 5th in homers with 2 and was 6th in batting at .333 (28-84). Brewer was also tabbed the Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season, hitting .450 (9-20), while also boasting a .700 slugging percentage and .456 OBP. Overall, Brewer hit .314 with 31 runs scored and driving in 27 runs batted in. He swiped 26 bases in 26 attempts, to rank second in the league.
#9 Ryan Curry: The senior infielder played in 62 games for the St. Cloud Riverbats of the Northwoods League. Curry played 52 games at second base and 16 games at shortstop this summer. Curry batted .223, and was third on the team in runs batted in (23) and doubles (14). He tied for second on the team in homeruns with two, including a grand slam the last week of the season.
#15 Justin Carr: The senior outfielder has played in 42 games for the Springfield Rifles of the Central Illinois Collegiate League. Carr hit .224, while driving in 18 runs.
#17 Mike McMillan: The sophomore outfielder helped the Twin City Stars to the 2006 Central Illinois Collegiate League championship. McMillan played in 38 games, hitting .271 with 11 runs batted in. He hit a team best .387 against left-handed pitchers this summer.
#18 Ryan Eigsti: The junior catcher helped the Twin City Stars to the 2006 Central Illinois Collegiate League championship. Eigsti played in 20 games, hitting three doubles and driving in four runs.
#19 Tyler Thornton: The sophomore pitcher helped Pitcher Perfect to the 2006 Peoria Sunday Morning League championship. Thornton ended with a 3-3 record and 1.23 ERA, surrendering only nine earned runs in 53 1/3 innings of work. He was third in the league with a team-best 48 strikeouts.
#24 Curtis Hornaday: The sophomore infielder/outfielder played for the Colorado Khaos in the Rocky Mountain Baseball League. Full season statistics for the Rocky Mountain Baseball League are unavailable at this time.
#25 Rob Scahill: The sophomore pitcher helped the Allegany County Nitros to the 2006 New York Collegiate Baseball League West Division Championship. Scahill finished the summer with a 2-4 record and 3.30 earned run average in his ten starts. He pitched a team-leading 60 innings and was selected to the New York Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Team, pitching a scoreless inning in relief during the exhibition game.
#27 Collin Brennan: The sophomore pitcher helped the Twin City Stars to the 2006 Central Illinois Collegiate League championship. Brennan made only five appearances this summer. He was unbeaten with a 3-0 mark in his five starts and tossed one complete game. He gave up only nine earned runs in 28 2/3 innings, while posting an ERA of 2.83.
#28 Colby Luttrell: The sophomore infielder played in 40 games for the Springfield Rifles of the Central Illinois Collegiate League. Luttrell batted .217, while driving in a team-best 19 runs for the Rifles.
#29 Peter Malinowski: The junior catcher played in the St. Louis City League. Full season statistics are unavailable at this time.
#32 Michael Christl: The senior pitcher appeared in eight games for the St. Cloud Riverbats of the Northwoods League. Christl posted a 3-2 record in seven starts with an ERA of 2.74, while striking out 33 batters in 42 2/3 innings pitched.
