OMAHA, Neb. - Sophomore forward Taylor Brown (Atlanta, Ga./Dunwoody H.S.) scored a career-high 27 points off the bench for Bradley (15-14 overall, 9-9 MVC), but Creighton (16-14 overall, 10-8 MVC) shot 51 percent from the field and had four players in double figures en route to an 82-71 Missouri Valley Conference victory at the Qwest Center Saturday afternoon.

The Bluejays built a 10-point lead with a 13-3 run to start the game, but a driving layup by freshman guard Jake Eastman (Richmond, Va./Douglas Freeman H.S.) cut Creighton's lead to seven, 18-11, midway through the first half. Brown added a bucket to pull Bradley within five, 30-25, while junior guard Andrew Warren (Indianapolis, Ind./Brebeuf Jesuit Prep) added two free throws to make it a three-point game, 30-27.

Creighton hit a three on its next possession to extend the lead to six, but Bradley responded with a 5-0 run to close the half, including a half-court buzzer-beater by Warren, to make it a one-point game, 33-32.

Bradley's momentum from Warren's half-court shot was shot lived, as Creighton opened the second half with a 20-6 run to take a 15-point lead, 53-38. A Brown jumper cut Creighton's edge to nine, 57-48, midway through the second half, while a basket by sophomore center Will Egolf (Juneau, Alaska/Douglas H.S.) made it a seven-point game, 59-52. Brown drained a three-pointer with less than eight minutes remaining to pull the Braves within four, 66-62, but the Bluejays answered with an 8-2 run to regain a 10-point lead and took the game 82-71.

Brown led all scorers with 27 points and tied for game-high honors with eight rebounds. Eastman also set a career-high with 13 points, including a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Kenny Lawson Jr. led Creighton with 20 points and eight rebounds.

With the regular season now complete, the Braves will travel to St. Louis, Mo. for next weekend's State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
