PEORIA, Ill. -- Freshman Courtney Keefe (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) was one of four Bradley to reach double figures in kills, finishing with season highs of 11 kills, 19 digs and four aces to help the Braves to a 25-27, 25-20, 26-24, 25-18 victory against visiting Indiana State Friday at Renaissance Coliseum.

Bradley (8-12 overall, 2-9 MVC) equaled its win total from the 2010 season with the win and collected season highs with nine aces and 89 digs in the victory.  In addition to having four individuals reach double figures in kills, paced by sophomore Amy Angelos (Waukegan, Ill./Waukegan), BU also had four players record 15 or more digs.

The Braves held set point in the opening frame after one of Keefe's four aces on the night gave BU a 24-23 advantage, but Indiana State (10-11 overall, 2-8 MVC) rallied to take the first set 27-25.  The Sycamores slowed down the Bradley offensive attack in the first set, tallying 32 digs and two blocks in the frame.

After allowing Indiana State to hit .291 in the first set, Bradley turned up the pressure defensively and limited the Sycamores to a combined .049 hitting percentage in the next three sets.  The Braves got off to a hot start in the second set, using an early 11-2 run to build a commanding 17-5 advantage and evened the match with a 25-20 win.

Angelos did the bulk of her damage in the third set, collecting five of her team-best 13 kills in the frame, while boasting a .500 attack percentage.  Keefe found the floor with a kill to give the Braves set point at 24-22 before Indiana State answered with consecutive points to pull even at 24-24.  A pair of Indiana State errors proved to be the final margin as Bradley took the frame 26-24.

Indiana State had as many hitting errors (9) as kills (9) in the fourth set and the Braves hit at a .196 clip in what proved to be the final set.  Bradley led by as many as five points midway through the frame, but the Sycamores pulled with three (21-18) lead late in the set when a Megan Schmidt (Bloomington, Ill./Central Catholic) kill pushed the BU advantage back to four points (22-18).  Fellow senior Annie Cave (Easton, Ill./Illini Central) followed with a kill of her own and Angelos chased an Indiana State attack error with her 13th kill of the night to cap a 25-18 BU victory and close out the match.

Angelos had 13 kills, while Keefe and Schmidt each had season highs of 11 kills.  Sophomore Alise Tupuritis (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) joined the trio in double figures with 10 kills.  Keefe also collected a team-high 19 digs for her first career double-double and was joined in double figures in digs by seniors Genevieve Dejean (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) and Rachelle Dejean (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) with 18 digs each.

Rachelle Dejean notched her 1,300th career dig early in the first set and moved within 12 kills of third place on Bradley's career digs list.  Freshman Madison Kamp (Orland Park, Ill./Chicago Christian) turned in her team-leading sixth double-double of the season, finishing with 41 assists and 15 digs.

Stacy Qualizza paced Indiana State with 13 kills, while Monique Morris added 10 kills and 20 digs.  Setter Shelby Fouty collected 40 assists and a match-high 21 digs to help the Sycamores to a 96-89 advantage in digs.

Bradley closes out a three-match home stand Tuesday, hosting Loyola-Chicago at 7 p.m. at Renaissance Coliseum in the final non-conference match of the year.
