PEORIA, Ill. -- Doug McDermott turned in a double-double with 32 points on 12-of-17 shooting and 11 rebounds as visiting Creighton (23-7, 12-5 MVC) spoiled the Bradley's Senior Night with an 80-62 victory Wednesday night at Carver Arena.

All four Bradley seniors – Jake Eastman, Will Egolf, Milos Knezevic and Dyricus Simms-Edwards - started the game for the Braves (16-14, 7-10), helping the home team to a quick 4-0 lead. The Braves still were within 42-40 following a Simms-Edwards 3-pointer with 16:01 remaining before Creighton launched a 31-6 run in a span of 8-minutes, 52-seconds that broke the game open.

McDermott scored 14 points during the outburst, including the first four, as well as a 3-pointer with 12:53 left that gave the Bluejays a double-digit lead, 54-42, they would not relinquish.

Though Bradley forced 15 Creighton turnovers with nine steals, the Bluejays dominated the glass throughout and finished the game with a 41-20 rebounding edge.  While Creighton snared 13 offensive rebounds on 28 opportunities, Bradley managed only five offensive boards on 33 field goal and live free throw misses.

Walt Lemon, Jr. paced Bradley with 17 points and Egolf added 11.  Simms-Edwards had nine points and his two steals pushed his season total to 83, tying Willie Scott's single-season school record set in 1982-83.

Will Artino was the only other double-digit scorer for Creighton, chipping in 10 points and seven rebounds for the Bluejays.

While Creighton benefitted from Evansville's upset at Wichita State, setting up a winner-take-all matchup for The Valley regular-season title Saturday night at CenturyLink Center, Bradley got no help from the rest of the league and dropped into a tie for seventh in the league standings with Drake.  The Braves will visit Missouri State Saturday night with a chance to finish in a tie for sixth in the final standings, but Bradley will be seeded no higher than seventh for next week's MVC Men's Basketball Championship in St. Louis.

Note:  Fans who purchased all-session tickets for the 2013 MVC Men's Basketball Championship through the Bradley Ticket Office may begin picking up their tickets at the Renaissance Coliseum Box Office during regular business hours (9 a.m.-5 p.m.).  Any tickets not claimed by Wednesday, March 6 will be available at the Scottrade Center Box Office an hour before the first session March 7.
