Game Notes | The Starting Five
1) Bradley will continue its season-opening, four-game home stand Wednesday by hosting defending Northeast Conference regular-season champion Robert Morris for a 7 p.m. tip at Carver Arena.
2) In its 111th men's basketball season, Bradley is facing Robert Morris on the hardwood for the first time and the Braves have played only five previous games against the current 10-team Northeast Conference membership, posting a 3-2 record in those five games.
3) Although Wednesday's game is Bradley's first-ever against Robert Morris, fourth-year Braves head coach Geno Ford is 2-0 in his career against the Colonials with both meetings occurring during his 3-year stint as Kent State head coach.
4) Robert Morris has stubled out of the game with a pair of lopsided losses at home to Lafayette (50-77) and at #6 North Carolina (59-103) and the Colonials will continue their 4-game road swing Saturday at Georgetown.
5) The Braves will be short-handed for Wednesday's game: senior forward Auston Barnes will serve the final game in his 3-game suspension, which was announced last month; junior point guard Tramique Sutherland is expected to be sidelined until at least Thursday with a hand injury; and junior guard Kendahl Amerson is redshirting the 2014-15 season; while junior forward Mike Shaw is questionable with a toe injury.
