Game Notes | The Starting Five
1) Bradley will begin play in the 4-game, exempt Corpus Christi Coastal Classic by hosting North Carolina A&T Sunday afternoon at Carver Arena.
2) Sunday's game is the third game in a season-opening, 4-game home stand and North Carolina A&T represents Bradley's third first-time opponent in as many games to start the season.
3) Bradley is attempting to avoid its first 0-3 start since 1986-87 (all on the road) and the Braves have not lost three home games to start a season since 1954-55.
4) Bradley has played its first two games short-handed, but expect to get its lone senior, Auston Barnes, back from his early-season suspension and junior point guard Tramique Sutherland (fractured left ring finger) could make his Braves debut while playing with a protective glove on his left hand. Junior forward Mike Shaw continues to nurse a sprained big toe and junior guard Kendahl Amerson is redshirting the season.
5) Bradley is playing in a multi-team exempt (MTE) event for the ninth consecutive year and the Braves are 16-1 all-time in home games associated with their participation in nine previous MTE's that included home competition. Bradley has won five straight MTE home games since a 70-66 loss to Wofford in the second round of the 2011 Chicago Invitational Challenge Nov. 22, 2011 at Carver Arena.
