LORMAN, Miss. - Stephen Toma allowed only four hits and struck out five in 6.0 innings and designated hitter Greg Partyka drove in five, leading Bradley (2-0) to a 13-4 win against Alcorn State (0-2) Saturday afternoon at McGowan Stadium.

The first four hitters in Bradley's order combined for eight hits, 11 runs batted in and seven runs scored to pace a 15-hit attack and left fielder Brady Wilkin added a 4-for-5 performance.

Bradley raced out to a 13-0 lead by scoring one in the first, five in the second, two in the third and five more in the fifth. Partyka's grand slam home run highlighted the 5-run outburst in the second.

Supported by his team's offensive showing, Toma breezed through his 6.0 innings, allowing only two runners to reach second base. Both came in the third on consecutive 2-out hits that produced the only run against Bradley starter.

The teams will wrap up their weekend series with a 1 p.m. game Sunday. Elliot Ashbeck, who has started at 1st base in each of the first two games, is expected to start on the mound for the visiting Braves Sunday.
