Box Score 2 PEORIA, Ill. - Bradley earned its 10th come-from-behind win of the season, scoring the game's final six runs for a 6-5 win against Missouri State Saturday night at Dozer Park in the first game of a late-evening doubleheader.
Bradley right-hander Peter Resnick tossed 5.2 innings of scoreless relief, allowing the Braves (18-12, 4-7 MVC) to rally for the 1800th win in program history. Bradley scored what proved to be the winning run in the sixth after Austin Jarvis was hit by a pitch to open the frame, advanced to second on a wild pitch, third on a Spencer Gaa sacrifice bunt and home on Isaac Smith's sacrifice fly.
Missouri State did the rallying in the night cap, scoring in each of the final four innings to earn a 7-2 win and take the series, 2-games-to-1.
Bradley started the game's scoring in the fifth inning on three consecutive singles, the third by Gaa to plate Drew Carlile. Smith followed with his second sacrifice fly of the day to give the Braves a 2-0 lead.
Starter Cameron Roegner (5-2) cruised through the first five innings, but ran into trouble in the sixth by surrendering two runs on four hits, before turning things over to Eric Scheuermann. With runners at the corners, Missouri State shortstop Joey Hawkins greeted Scheuermann with a safety squeeze to put the Bears in front, 3-2.
Bradley will continue its season-long, 9-game home stand with six straight non-conference games, beginning Wednesday night when the Braves host Northern Illinois in a 6 p.m. doubleheader at Dozer Park.
