Making his third start in 10 days and battling illness, Bradley ace Elliot Ashbeck (11-5) did not have his best stuff Friday and Michigan took advantage by touching him for six runs on eight hits in just 3.0 innings … Michigan did the majority of its damage in the second inning, scoring four runs on five hits in the second inning alone … The bottom two hitters in the Wolverines order combined to go 6-for-8 with a walk, a sacrifice fly and six RBI's in 10 plate appearances, highlighted by a pair of home runs by catcher Kendall Patrick … Kentucky native Isaac Smith led Bradley's 10-hit attack by going 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored and a RBI and senior catcher Drew Carlile hit a 3-run home run in the 9th inning.

Postseason Skid Reaches Double Digits
When Bradley faces Morehead State in Saturday's elimination game, the Braves will be trying to snap a 10-game NCAA postseason losing streak since the Braves beat Wyoming in the third round of the 1956 College World Series … Since being eliminated by Minnesota in the 1956 CWS, Bradley has gone 0-2 in each of its last four postseason appearances – NCAA District V playoffs in 1957, 1959, 1962 and 1968.

Skid Stoppers
After falling in the MVC Baseball Championship final to #8 Missouri State, Bradley lost a second straight game Friday afternoon against Michigan … The Braves have lost consecutive games for a fifth time this season … Bradley has suffered three straight losses just once this year by dropping the final two games of the May 9-10 series against Illinois State and all three games in the May 14-16 series at #10 Missouri State to close the regular season … Two of the teams Bradley beat to halt losing streaks this year include Atlantic Sun Conference regular-season champion North Florida and NCAA regional host Dallas Baptist.

Against the OVC in 2015
Bradley is 4-1 against the Ohio Valley Conference this season … The Braves took 2-of-3 games from OVC regular-season champion Southeast Missouri State in a Feb. 27-28 series that was slated to be played at SEMO but was moved to New Orleans due to weather … The Braves also swept two games versus Belmont the following weekend (March 7-8) in Nashville in a 3-team double round-robin event that also included Quinnipiac … Bradley outscored SEMO and Belmont by a combined 30-17 margin in the five games and the Braves pitching staff posted a 3.27 ERA in the five games, striking out 46 OVC hitters in 44.0 innings.

Roegner's Last Start
Bradley junior LHP Cameron Roegner is expected to get the start on the mound Saturday against Morehead State … Roegner likely clinched Bradley's at-large invitation to the NCAA Baseball Championship with his performance in his last outing … In the third round of last week's MVC Baseball Championship May 22, Roegner tossed a career-best 8.0 innings and limited #11 Dallas Baptist to one run on five hits as Bradley eliminated the Patriots, 3-1 … Roegner did not strike out a batter, but needed only 96 pitches to shut down DBU in his 8.0 innings.

Godinez Extends Streak
Bradley junior second baseman Chris Godinez was 2-for-5 in Friday's Louisville Regional opener, but the effort lowered his season on-base percentage … Godinez, who began the postseason ranked sixth nationally with an even .500 on-base percentage, reached base safely for the 31st consecutive game with a third-inning single.

Ashbeck Makes Olerud Award Top 10
Late Thursday night, Bradley junior pitcher Elliot Ashbeck was announced to the top 10 list of candidates for the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award, according to an announcement from the College Baseball Foundation … Ashbeck leads the final 10 candidates with 11 pitching wins … Ashbeck typically does not hit when he pitches, though he did last Sunday in the MVC Tournament final, and he is expected to hit cleanup in Saturday's Louisville Regional elimination game versus Morehead State … Ashbeck has hit in 35 games this year and he is tied for second on the team with 30 RBI's, despite his limited at-bats.
