OPENING PITCH
•    After playing its first 18 games of the season away from home, Bradley will open its 2017 home schedule this weekend by hosting a trio of local, non-Division I teams at Dozer Park.
•    The three games against Robert Morris-Peoria (Friday), Robert Morris-Springfield (Saturday) and Eureka (Sunday) will start Bradley's 23-game home schedule, which represents the largest number of home games for the Braves since 2004 (24 games, 12-12).
•    While the three weekend games will not count toward Bradley's RPI, the Braves completed Wednesday's action ranked 62nd in the Ratings Percentage Index produced by WarrenNolan.com, while sporting the nation's No. 13 strength of schedule.
•    Bradley's roster includes nine players from the Peoria Tri-County region, including three newcomers - SS Luke Shadid (Peoria), OF Dan Bolt (Morton), P Cole Cook (Washington) - who could make their collegiate Dozer Park debuts this weekend.

TOUGH START
•    Not only did Bradley play its first 18 games of the season away from home, but the seven NCAA Division I teams the Braves have faced in 17 of those 18 games have combined for a 93-41 (.694) record through Wednesday.
•    Those seven opponents have helped Bradley rank 62nd in the RPI (warrennolan.com), second best in the Missouri Valley Conference, despite its 6-12 start.
•    Bradley leads The Valley with a non-conference strength of schedule that ranks 13th (Missouri State is second with a SOS ranked 46th).
•    The other seven Valley teams own an average 179.7 SOS ranking.

•  Bradley is scheduled to play at least 32 games away from home this season, including the first 18 to start the season.
