Bradley Track Heads to Notre Dame

After sending a small number of runners to Washington last weekend, the full Bradley track and field teams are back in action this weekend, participating at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

MEET INFO
The two-day meet is set to begin on Friday afternoon with track events beginning at 3:30 p.m. CT. The Braves are set to feature tin the 60m hurdles, 60 dash and 5,000m run in the first day of action.

The meet resumes on Saturday morning at 8:45 a.m. CT with Bradley set to compete in the 3,000m, mile, 800m and 4x400 relay.

Certain races will be featured on ACC Network Extra, beginning on Saturday at 1 p.m. Live results are also available for all meets.

BRAVES IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Three Braves found themselves in the national rankings after last weekend's performance at the Washington Invitational and throughout the 2019 campaign. Michael Ward leads the team by placing 17th in the country in the 3,000m run, running a time of 7:57.88. Ward is also 67th in the mile run (4:06.31), while classmate Haran Dunderdale is 38th in 4:04.27. Junior Alec Hartman completes the Braves in the rankings as he is 47th in the 800m at 1:51.04.

LAST YEAR AT NOTRE DAME
Bradley recorded the three fastest time in the men's 800m in school history last year as Hartman broke the school standard in 1:50.32 and was followed by David Shadid and Scott Seymour.

Overall, eight additional Braves also clocked top-10 times in school history – Niamh Markham and Kathryn Adelman in the women's 800m, Brooke Nusser in the women's mile, Taylor Floyd Mews and Will Anderson in the men's 3,000m, Natalie Burant in the women's 3,000m and Luke Hoffert and Nikolas Hess in the men's 5,000m.

UP NEXT
The Braves are set to send runners to two meets next weekend, competing in the Iowa State Classic on Friday and Saturday and the GVSU Big Meet on Friday.
