Dunderdale Earns All-Conference Honors Day Two of Track Championship

Senior Haran Dunderdale became the third Brave to collect All-Missouri Valley Conference accolades at the 2019 MVC Outdoor Championship, earning the honor in the 3,000m steeplechase to highlight day two for the Bradley track teams on Saturday.

The senior was named to the all-conference team for the second-straight season in the event, placing third with a time of 9:07.78. In his final Valley Championship, Dunderdale earned all-conference honors for the seventh time during his career on the track.

Two other Braves also scored in the event with PR times as senior Nikolas Hess was fourth in 9:11.93 and redshirt freshman Evan Mitchell was eighth in 9:23.66. Both also posted top-10 times in school history with their PRs as Hess now ranks fifth in the BU record book and Mitchell is sixth.

Freshman Ayah Aldadah scored for the Braves in the women's 3,000m steeplechase, placing sixth with a career-best time of 10:59.87. The rookie's mark is now the fourth-best time by a Brave in school history.

Also on Saturday, five Braves qualified for Sunday finals. In the 800m run, sophomore Alec Hartman won his heat with a time of 1:52.47 to advance and will be joined by Scott Seymour (1:52.52) and David Shadid (1:52.96). In the 400m dash, freshman Hannah Ivy posted a time of 57.70 to advance to Sunday. Finally, in the 110m dash, freshman Miguel Agyei recorded a PR time of 15.39 to advance to his first final heat at the conference championship.

After two days of competition, the Bradley men are in fifth place in the standings with 25 points, while the women are sixth with 15 points.

Bradley wraps up the championship tomorrow afternoon with the action beginning at 12 p.m. CT at Indiana State.
