CINCINNATI, Ohio ? Senior designated hitter Adam Kimble went 2-for-4 with a double and his first home run of the season, but it was not enough to help Bradley (3-6) salvage a weekend draw at Cincinnati as the host Bearcats (4-5) downed the Braves Sunday, 10-5, to claim a three-games-to-one victory in the weekend series.

Freshman right-hander Jacob Booden (0-1) was roughed up for seven runs on six hits and four walks in his 4.0 innings of work.  Relievers Justin Ziegler (two runs in 3 2/3 innings) and Brandon Stevens (one run in 1/3 inning) also failed to keep the Bearcats off the board.

Kimble started a second-inning rally with a leadoff double down the left field line.  After Colby Luttrell walked and Andrew Eggers advanced the runners on a sacrifice bunt, third baseman Jordan Colvin came through with a two-out, two-run single to give the Braves a 2-0 lead.

Cincinnati bounced back with a five-run outburst in the bottom of the second, however, and the Bearcats added two more runs in the third for a 7-2 lead.

Bradley closed to within 7-5 with a three-run sixth inning.  Centerfielder Nick Mitidiero opened the sixth with a bunt single and Kimble followed with a two-run blast to left.  After a pair of groundouts, catcher Kevin Sullivan doubled to right and Colvin followed with an RBI single to center.  After Cincinnati got one of the runs back in the bottom of the sixth, the Braves tried to continue their rally in the eighth by putting runners at first and second with no outs.  Sullivan grounded into a double play and Colvin grounded out, however, to end Bradley's last threat of the game.

The Braves will return to action Saturday when they begin their spring break trip to Winter Haven, Fla., with an 11:30 a.m. contest against Bowling Green.  The trip to Florida will continue with a second game against a Mid-American Conference opponent Sunday against Central Michigan.  Bradley will face Jacksonville State March 16, will enjoy an off day March 17, then will conclude the trip with a pair of games March 18 against Eastern Illinois and Hartford.
