EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Evansville senior guard Colt Ryan was the only
Purple Aces (12-8, 5-3 MVC) player to score in double-figures, but his 19
points were enough to lead the home team to a 66-56 win versus Bradley (12-8,
4-4 MVC) Wednesday night at the Ford Center.
Walt Lemon Jr. scored 16
of his game-high 22 points to lead three Bradley players in
double-figures. Tyshon Pickett and
Dyricus Simms-Edwards both scored 12 for the Braves.
Trailing most of the
game, Bradley pulled to within 51-50 on a Will Egolf 3-pointer with 8:01
remaining, but the Purple Aces scored the next seven points to regain control
and the Braves managed only two more field goals the rest of the game.
Bradley will continue its
2-game road swing Saturday night at Wichita State before hosting Interstate 74
rival Illinois State Tuesday night at Carver Arena.
