LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Elliot Ashbeck forced extra innings with a 2-out, RBI double in the ninth inning and Spencer Gaa started a 5-run 12th inning with a go-ahead sacrifice fly, lifting Bradley (4-1) to a 9-4 win Saturday at UALR (5-1).

Brady Wilkin started the go-ahead rally with one out in the 12th by reaching on a 1-out catcher's interference. He advanced to third on a Chris Godinez single then scored on Gaa's deep fly ball to right field. Max Murphy followed with a run-scoring double, Isaac Smith delivered a RBI single and Tyler Leffler broke the game open with a 2-run home run to complete the 5-run outburst.

Bradley pounded out 19 hits against seven UALR pitchers and the Braves snapped the home team's streak of 25.0 consecutive shutout innings in the first. Godinez started the game with an infield single, but was picked off trying to steal second. Gaa followed with a single up the middle, advanced to second when Murphy was hit by a pitch and scored on Leffler's 2-out single, which extended the Bradley shortstop's hitting streak to 12 games.

Gaa, who finished 2-for-5 and reached base in each of his first three plate appearances, drove in Bradley's second run with an RBI single to left field in the second inning.

Stephen Toma started strong on the mound for the Braves, but tired in the fifth when the Trojans broke through for three runs on a 1-out hit-by-pitch and four consecutive hits.

Bradley's bullpen was stellar, though. John Nasshan relieved Toma and stopped the bleeding by getting out of a 2-on, 1-out jam without allowing another run to score. UALR did pull ahead after a leadoff triple in the eighth, but Roegner allowed just the one run, allowing the Braves to rally.

Freshman Matt Dennis (2-0) then pitched the final four innings without allowing a run. Dennis struck out eight in his 4.0 innings of scoreless relief, earning his second extra-innings victory of the season.

The teams will play the rubber game in their 3-game weekend series at 1 p.m. Sunday. Sophomore right-hander Eric Scheuermann (1-0) is expected to get the mound start for the Braves Sunday.
