Kaboom! Awards: Men's Cross Country/Track Highlights

The 2021 Kaboom! Awards, presented by RE/MAX Traders Unlimited and supported by PNC, continue with a spotlight on the 2021 Bradley men's cross country and track season.

The Bradley men finished as runner-up at the 2020-21 Missouri Valley Conference Cross Country Championship with freshman Billy Hauenstein leading the way for the Braves and earning all-conference accolades. Hauenstein was named the team's Most Outstanding Athlete after his sixth-place finish at the conference meet, while Michael Rebello collected Most Improved accolades for cross country.

On the indoor track, freshman Max Dieterich was named the team's Most Outstanding Runner after helping the Braves claim the distance medley relay crown before earning all-conference honors as an individual in the mile run. Charlie Parrish collected Most Improved accolades with his second-place finish in the 3,000m earning hm all-conference accolades for the first time in his career.

The Braves then wrapped up the year in the spring with Evan Mitchell highlighting a strong performance for BU. Mitchell became the second runner in school history to claim the 3,000m steeplechase crown at the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championship before earning a bid at the NCAA West Preliminary in his final season in the Red & White. Parrish again was named the team's Most Improved after receiving all-conference honors for the third-straight championship by placing third in the 3,000m steeplechase before adding a sixth-place time in the 5,000m run.

The 2021 Kaboom! Awards, presented by RE/MAX Traders Unlimited and supported by PNC, will feature highlights from soccer and women's cross country/track later in the day.
