The 2021 Kaboom! Awards, presented by RE/MAX Traders Unlimited and supported by PNC, continue with a spotlight on the 2021 Bradley women's cross country and track season.

The Braves matched the conference record by placing in the top two as a team for an eighth-straight season at the MVC Cross Country Championship. Senior McKenzie Altmayer was named the program's Most Outstanding Runner after earning all-conference accolades for the third time in her career when she placed sixth overall. Sophomore Lily Strauss was named the team's Most Improved after the cross country campaign.

Bradley also had a record-setting season on the track in 2021. At the 2021 Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championship, the Braves scored a school-record 58 points – topping the previous standard of 47 that was set in 2015. Wilma Nielsen was named the program's Most Outstanding Runner after being named the MVC Freshman of the Year. The rookie placed second in both the 800m and 1,500m to score 16 of Bradley's 58 points at the meet. Julia Nielsen earned the team's Most Improved Runner as she was a member of the school's winning DMR and also claimed individual gold in the 800m at the conference meet.

Wilma Nielsen once again highlighted the Braves' performances during the outdoor season, earning Most Outstanding Runner honors. She became just the third runner in program history to qualify for the championship rounds in Eugene, Oregon. She also collected honorable-mention All-America accolades after becoming one of three freshmen in the country to advance out of the preliminaries in the 800m. Freshman Sophia McDonnell was named the program's Most Improved Runner after placing fourth in the 3,000m steeplechase at the MVC Championship with a school-record time and qualifying for the NCAA West Preliminary.

Resuming Friday morning, the 2021 Bradley Baseball season will be highlighted as the 2021 Kaboom! Awards, presented by RE/MAX Traders Unlimited and supported by PNC, continues.
