Kaboom! Awards: Women's Golf Highlights

A look back at the 2020-21 Bradley Women's Golf season wraps up the season reviews for the 2021 Kaboom! Awards, presented by RE/MAX Traders Unlimited and supported by PNC.

Leading a young squad for the Braves in 2020-21, senior Taylor Ledwein was voted the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Year after she paced Bradley with a 75.79 stroke average. Her season stroke average ranked eighth among Bradley season marks and she finished in the top 10 in each of the final four events of the year.

Ledwein, who captured All-MVC honors for the fifth time in her career, claimed back-to-back medalist titles leading into the MVC Championship before an eighth-place finish at the league championship in St. Charles, Mo. She took home top individual honors at both the Diane Daugherty Invitational, where she opened with a career-best 67, and the Jan Weaver Invitational.

In addition to Ledwein's honors, Maddie Hawkins and Megan Welch both received honorable mention MVC Scholar-Athlete recognition, while Sarah Nacos was a recipient of the MVC Good Neighbor Award.

The 2021 Kaboom! Awards, presented by RE/MAX Traders Unlimited and supported by PNC, resume next week with Monday's announcements of this year's winners of the Coach Joe Stowell Award.
