Kaboom! Awards: Megan C. Fong Inspiration Award

The 2021 Kaboom! Awards, presented by RE/MAX Traders Unlimited and supported by PNC, continue with the presentation of the Megan C. Fong Inspiration Award to senior Emily Marsh.

The Megan C. Fong Inspiration Award was created in 2003 and is presented, as warranted, to individuals associated with the Bradley Department of Athletics who display perseverance, dedication and determination when confronted with a life-altering event while serving as a role model and inspiration to others. The award was created as a tribute to the late Megan Fong, the Bradley women's tennis player who died in August of 2002 as a result of complications from her eight-month bout with leukemia.

Marsh helped Bradley Women's Basketball match a school record with 72 victories over the last four years in addition to the team collecting a school record for Missouri Valley Conference victories in a four-year span. During that time, Marsh persevered through three hip surgeries as she capped off her career by helping the Braves to the first MVC Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance in program history this past year on the heels of a school record 22 wins during her junior season of 2019-20.

The 2021 Kaboom! Awards, presented by RE/MAX Traders Unlimited and supported by PNC, resume Thursday with the announcement of Bradley's Most Outstanding Athlete Award winners.
